Enabling Managers and Leaders

Hi, I'm Niki Webb and I established Heron HR in September 2026 to provide independent HR consultancy and coaching services.

I have over 20 years experience working in HR; supporting leaders and managers with their people-management challenges, building skills, problem-solving and coaching through change.

I believe that HR should and can be an enabling force and that with the right skills and support, people management can be the most rewarding part of a role.

Having undertaken training in coaching during my career and utilising the skills regularly, I have seen first-hand the positive impact that coaching can have for managers and leaders; for people at the outset of the career and for those with significant experience.

Since then, I have attained my CMI Level 7 certification in Coaching and Mentoring to formalise my training and learn more structured practices to ensure that any coaching I deliver is as effective as possible.

In addition to coaching, I offer more generalist HR consultancy services; I have significant experience in managing and supporting through employee relations matters from straight-forward performance management concerns, grievances, disciplinary cases through to employment tribunal claims.

I am passionate about supporting managers at the outset of their careers and ensuring that new managers feel able to fully embrace their people-management responsibilities. As such, I have developed a number of workshops to support new managers and managers with specific people-management challenges, and can provide these to small groups to build skills and knowledge.

I established Heron HR to allow myself to help organisations with their people management challenges and to provide targeted coaching support for leaders and managers who could benefit from a safe space to develop solutions and confidence.
